MCP servers

Deploy an MCP server only your team can use

Deploy your MCP server to Forculus, share it with the people who should use it, and turn on AI clients for it. Claude, Cursor or any client that follows the MCP authorization spec then connects only as one of those people, after they sign in and approve it once. Your server needs no sign-in code of its own, and it's on every plan.

Turn on AI clients

forculus deploy acme/tools . --create
forculus app mcp acme/tools on

Only the app's owners and the workspace's owners and admins can turn it on or off. Turning it off disconnects every client at once.

Connect a client

Give the client the app's address with your server's path. In Claude Code:

claude mcp add --transport http tools https://tools--acme.forculuslabs-apps.tech/mcp

In Cursor, add the same address to .cursor/mcp.json. In Claude on the web or the desktop app, add it as a custom connector. The first call opens a browser, where you sign in and approve the client.

The client acts as you

A connected client reaches the one app you approved it for, as you, with your role there. It can't reach your other apps, the dashboard or the API. If the app stops being shared with you, the client is refused from its next request, and an open stream ends within 15 seconds. A connection lasts 30 days.

Your server knows who's calling

Each request carries the same signed identity token a browser request does, so requireUser() in our SDKs tells your server who is calling and their role. See SDKs.

Questions

Which clients can connect?

Claude Code, Claude on the web and the desktop app, Cursor, and any client that follows the MCP authorization spec. A workspace can limit connections to the clients its owners approve.

Do I write OAuth code in my server?

No. We handle sign-in and approval, and your server gets a signed token naming the person on every request.

Is the deploy server, forculus mcp, the same thing?

No. forculus mcp runs on your computer and lets your coding agent deploy and share apps. This page is about an MCP server you build and deploy here. See Claude Code.
